Dan Gilsdorf is a multimedia and tattoo artist. His practice explores words as materials, and covers concrete poetry to austerely conceptual work.
Gilsdorf opened Atlas Tattoo nearly 20 years ago in Portland, Oregon. He also teaches at Portland Community College on the art, history, physics, and metallurgy of tattoos. He lives and works in Portland and Warsaw.
