Darren Goins’ brightly colored paintings and sculptures consider digital culture. He develops patterns in Microsoft Paint and incorporates this visual language into his work using a range of techniques including CNC cutting, lenticular images, and reverse painting on acrylic panels.
Goins has shown at Hezi Cohen Gallery (Tel Aviv), Sonce Alexander Gallery, and Invisible-Exports. He has been an artist-in-residence at the McColl Center for Visual Art in Charlotte, NC and had public art commissions from the Charlotte Area Transit System, The New York City Department of Transportation, and Socrates Sculpture Park.
Goins received his BFA in Photography and Printmaking from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He lives and works in Los Angeles
