Harmonic Distortion evidences Nathanael Thayer Moss’ mastery of controlled design and pattern. The result is a starkly elegant print.

Influenced by futurist design, outer space architecture, video game landscapes, and electronic music, multimedia artist and musician Moss mutates structures through constraints and variables. His black-and-white pieces were featured in 2012’s New American Paintings: Pacific Coast Issue, and he completed a Worksound International residency in 2010. Moss has shown throughout the Portland area including at Disjecta and Littman Gallery, as well as Camel Art Space (Brooklyn) and Rhode Island School of Design.

Moss earned his BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design. He lives and works in Portland.
