For Hap Edition, Mathew Zefeldt created a series of unique works based on a photograph taken in his studio and superimposed with painted “wood” pieces to juxtapose scale and material.
Zefeldt has showed at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, Lisa Cooley Gallery, and MOHS Exhibit (Copenhagen). In 2012 he was an artist-in-residence at the Vermont Studio Center. His work has been reviewed in Daily Serving, New American Paintings, Art Fuse, and Beautiful/Decay.
Zefeldt received his MFA in Studio Art from the University of California-Davis, and his BA in Art from the University of California-Santa Cruz. He lives and works in Minneapolis.
